Kathleen M. McCarthy The Honorable
Kathleen M. McCarthy serves in the Family Division of the Wayne County Circuit Court.
Judge McCarthy obtained her law degree from the Detroit College of Law and her
undergraduate from the University of Michigan. Judge McCarthy has two children, Miranda
and Zachary. Prior to taking the bench, Judge McCarthy was a partner in her own firm,
specializing in family law and personal injury litigation.
Judge McCarthy is the past President of the Wayne County
Family Bar Association, the past President of the Dearborn Bar Association, an active
member of the Downriver Bar Association and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan,
Advisory Board Member of the Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee, Member of the
Wayne County Council Against Family Violence, in addition to her active involvement at
Divine Child Church in Dearborn. She also teaches for the Institute of Certified Divorce
Financial Analysts.
Judge McCarthy is a co-founder of a non-profit
organization called Girls Matter, which strives to promote self esteem and self-discipline
among young women in the greater Metropolitan Area. She is a 2006 recipient of the Judge
of the Year Award presented by DADS of Michigan, and MOMS for DADS for her commitment
towards ensuring that children have frequent access to both parents when appropriate.
Frederic J. Siegel
Frederic J. Siegel is a 1979 graduate of Carnegie-Mellon
University and a 1982 graduate of the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva
University. He is a member of both New York and Connecticut Bars and is a partner in the
Stamford, Connecticut firm of Fitzmaurice & Siegel, where he specializes in high net
worth divorce and pre-nuptial agreements. Fred is the Co-Chair of the Stamford/Norwalk Bar
Association Committee on Law Practice Management, he serves on the Executive Committee of
the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section and Chairs their Sub-Committee on
Public Service and Education. He also serves on the American Bar Association Family Law
Section CLE Committee.
Fred has been featured on CNN, Good Morning America,
Inside Edition and Bloomberg Radio speaking about divorce and the Wall Street Journal,
Chicago Sun Times and other publications. He lectures frequently to the New York and
Connecticut Bar Associations and has been a featured speaker to the American Association
of Certified Divorce Financial Analysts in both Pennsylvania and Texas.
Fred has represented numerous celebrity and sports
clients in a variety of matrimonial matters and in March, 2005, his client received the
largest award a wife has ever been awarded following a trial in the history of
Connecticut, and one of the largest after trial awards ever made to an individual.
Fadi Baradihi
Mr. Baradihi is the President and CEO of the Institute
for Divorce Financial Analysts. Mr. Baradihi has helped settle hundreds of divorce cases.
Mr. Baradihi is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered
Life Underwriter, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, holds a Master of Business
Administration and is currently enrolled in a Doctorate in Business Administration with
expected completion in 2012.
Mr. Baradihi is the co-author of The Divorce Survival
Guide and is a nationally known expert in this field. He has been interviewed and
published more recently by Divorce Magazine (Winter, Spring, and Summer Issues, 2003),
Lawyers Weekly USA (9/1/2003), Money Magazine (11/2004) Bloomberg Wealth Manager (1/05),
The Detroit News (3/05), LA Times (3/05), The Detroit News (7/2006), Fifty Plus
Advocates.com (3/2007), just to name a few.
